Baseline and miss log
Take an official digital practice test or a full diagnostic. Split the miss log into Reading and Writing content domains, Math content domains, timing misses, and careless errors. This becomes the map for the next seven weeks.
Digital SAT guide
Eight weeks is enough to make real progress if each week has one job: diagnose, build the highest-value skills, practice in the digital format, and repair misses before they become habits.
Open the SAT study planThe Digital SAT rewards accuracy under short-module timing. The best plan is not to "do more questions" at random; it is to find your recurring miss types, drill them, and keep taking official-style practice in the same two-section structure you will see on test day.
The 8-week plan
Take an official digital practice test or a full diagnostic. Split the miss log into Reading and Writing content domains, Math content domains, timing misses, and careless errors. This becomes the map for the next seven weeks.
Work on Information and Ideas plus Craft and Structure. For each missed reading question, write the sentence in the passage that proves the answer. For vocabulary and purpose questions, practice eliminating answers that are too broad, too narrow, or not supported by the text.
Focus on Standard English Conventions and Expression of Ideas. Drill punctuation, boundaries, modifiers, transitions, and sentence placement. Keep one page of rules with examples from questions you actually missed.
Prioritize linear equations, systems, functions, quadratics, exponent rules, and equivalent expressions. The goal is not just getting the answer; it is choosing the fastest route without losing precision.
Cover ratios, percentages, scatterplots, tables, area, volume, triangles, circles, and basic trigonometry. Practice translating word problems into variables and checking whether your answer makes sense in context.
Start pairing timed Reading and Writing modules with timed Math modules. Review immediately after each module while the reasoning is still fresh, then redo every missed question without looking at the explanation.
Take another full practice test. Compare the new miss log to Week 1. If a miss type repeats, stop treating it as a one-off and schedule a focused repair block for that exact skill.
Do short mixed sets, review formulas and grammar rules, confirm calculator comfort, and avoid marathon cramming. Your final work should make execution calmer, not noisier.
Section balance
Rotate between evidence, main idea, vocabulary in context, transitions, grammar, and sentence placement. Short passages can trick you into moving too fast, so train the habit of proving answers from the text.
Use calculator and non-calculator reasoning together. Many Digital SAT math questions are faster if you recognize structure before typing anything: isolate, substitute, graph, or test a value only after the setup is clear.
Simple weekly cadence: two Reading and Writing blocks, two Math blocks, one mixed timed module, and one miss-log repair session. If time is tight, keep the miss-log repair session.
